Forty Foot is a well known swim spot in Dublin Bay at Sandycove, Ireland. People have been enjoying cold water swims in the Irish Sea at Forty Foot in all weathers for some 250 years. I visited the Forty Foot in Summer for the first time and bravely took a plunge in the rain to celebrate my husband and I’s first wedding anniversary. For centuries people have made memories here, so I am very grateful that this place now holds a special place in my memory bank too.
